Pilates Instructor
I began Ballet classes at the age of 5 and soon after joined modern and tap dance classes too. Dance then became my life and something I wanted to pursue as a career. At the age of 16 I was a full time dance student at South East Theatre School ( S.E.T.S.) Completing my final exams in I.S.T.D R.A.D. Classical Ballet. Pilates was part of our daily classes and where I was first introduced to Pilates.
At the age of 18 I auditioned and gained my first professional dance contract overseas in Japan. From then until the age of 32 I travelled the world working as a professional dancer in many shows, theatres, casinos, cruise ships and TV. In 2008 after a wonderful career. I retired from performing and started to study for my fitness instructor exams. One of which was my BASI Pilates instructor qualification which I received whilst living in Hong Kong. I began my teaching career in many studios, gyms, working with my own clients which included sport’s professionals, dancers, and people looking for rehabilitation classes working through injuries, post-surgery, post-natal etc.
I returned to the UK in 2022 where I continue to run my own Pilates business but am also working with Bodyworks clinic with back care treatment and Pilates class program, which is something new to me, but find very beneficial for the clients to be able to contact the clinic for massages, and physio sessions as well as their weekly Pilates classes with me. Seeing the changes in people’s bodies, health, mind-set is all part of the Pilates principles, and I would recommend anyone to join a class if you haven’t already!
